Unfamiliar Comfort.

This feels kinda like a weird point in my life. I feel... relaxed almost, almost aimless, almost as if all of the things that I've struggled to do all these years has been achieved, but obviously that's really far from true. I've still got so much more to go, so much more to do but yeah... I think it's just that for the first time in so many years, the company that I've started and am actively running is actually turning... a profit?

Well, I mean the company overall is still kinda in debt from all the money that I gave/ didn't take from it, but yeah, this year has been pivotal in the sense that I'm actually able to start paying myself back, and not only that, we're actually kinda... busy yet not so with the jobs that we currently have.

To no surprise, 6 years teaches you a lot of things on how to run a company, even if it's not really the most successful of companies, at least not just yet.

Still, there's this wave of relief within me like... ah... I really don't have to worry so much, too much anymore. I think it just really goes to show how strung up I've been all these years trying to carve my own way in the world, to make a mark of my own, to at least reach existence, at least for now.

I think I'm just not really all that used to this feeling. Right now I'm using any of the gains that I've earned to help improve the standards of myself and my staff, give him bonuses where I can (he stuck around with me for so long after all) and just... take care of myself a little

The thought of being able to use company money to travel to different countries, visit different places to check out what their industry has to offer, whist simultaneously pushing my company and awareness and our growth as well.

It's a very weird thought and feeling. It's weird to be earning money, to be earning this much money doing what I do and what I love. Like working from home and running a full fledged business from home with no one else to answer to and just being self sustaining in itself is pretty crazy to think about, perhaps not abnormal since there's plenty of people who run their own businesses and are equally as successful, but for me this is very much a new feeling, a new emotion, so I find myself getting caught in disbelief over it, like I'm not really allowed to be so chill, something is wrong, am I missing something, and I look back in anxiety to check if everything is really okay.

it's relief, but it's also scary. Still, it's a good thing. It's nice to be able to buy myself and my staff company dinners, to pay for their meals in thanks for the work they've done, even though perhaps its me myself who is enjoying it the most, being thankful the most for it.

Yeah.

LevelUPKL is happening soon once again, and I'm already preparing myself for the event, making sure that I have (updated) business cards up and running and trying my best to get some more contracts to keep the company afloat. Maybe then I can even look into hiring new talent, to expand the team, become a fully fledged company.

One step at a time though.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and I still feel like I'm right at the base.

At least things are looking up and I can happily say that I am pushing forward doing what I love and making a life out of it.

Shocking, but awesome.

Hello World (I wonder how many times I've used this as a headline)

 Hello world.

How are you? It's now 2022, and wow we're still going through a pandemic aren't we, although things are dying down and life is really starting to go back to normal (we don't even need to really scan to go into places anymore).

fuh... How long has it even been since I last really posted on this blog? probably about a year? yeah, that sounds about right. life has honestly been pretty hectic and busy, but at least things have somewhat settled down you know?

Rei is growing up well, she's turning out to be a really smart girl, my wife is... well she's fine, we get into fights here and there, but she's patient enough with me, and sometimes I do find myself just... being a lot less patient than I used to be you know? definitely something that I should be looking to change.

Today is the first day of Raya, and tomorrow we're heading out, so I thought I'd write in a little, something that I haven't really done in a while, but something that I really missed to be honest. There's nothing quite like typing everything out on a blog, especially for an introvert like myself, because I think I've mentioned this before, typing on a blog and getting your feeling out and onto some sort of medium really does help in sorting out your thoughts.

Business wise, things have been going well; as if by magic, this year, all of a sudden, all of the jobs start pouring in and I find myself busy (yet not busy at the same time) because of suddenly working on 3 projects concurrently, with a 4th coming in in June-ish which honestly... is pretty exciting, but also scary.

It is however, really nice to not worry too much about finances for the first time in a long while, as right now I've managed to secure myself a 5 figure income, though who knows how long it'll remain that way, but if it were up to me (and it of course is), I'd be looking to maintain it, and even attempt to exceed it, the sky's the limit.

YouTube wise.... well things have been going just a little bit slowly, but I saw a video the other day that actually stroke a resonance within me; see, my videos at the moment weren't really targeted, I just did whatever I wanted to, and of course growth and revenue and the such hasn't really been all that great. The video I saw mentioned that these days in order to really do well as a content creator, you really have to have a focus and a niche of sorts, and after a bit of introspection, I find myself thoroughly agree-ing on this, because of the creators that I subscribe to, I generally can pinpoint what I like about them, even if it's few, and I have almost an order of sorts as to who I would watch content from first.

On that note of making content on stuff I like, I think that I'll highly focus my work on laptops; they're an avenue that I enjoy because every laptop is unique in the way they do things, and generally has a lot about them that are worth talking about so... yeah, most likely laptops.

The other (because I'm sure that I can have more than one focus) is definitely the more DIY and creator aspect of things. I like trying out new stuff, building out new stuff, and also repairing stuff, so I don't think that I'll give up that side of me.

All the other stuff though like mice and keyboards and microphones and headphones... to be honest, they're things that I honestly feel that I can do without, even water cooling products, even though those are some of my most popular videos.

At the moment my laptop video for the MSI gaming laptop is probably my most successful video, second to that being the smartwatch video, but yeah, the MSI video and people really loving the way I do my reviews gives me good confidence that this is what I should be focusing on.

Fuh yeah.... It's good to be typing again to be honest. I don't know when's the next time I'm gonna unload my mind is, but hopefully it's not going to be like... 1 year later

Also I know that some people are still reading my blog even up until this day, but tbh, you do you and you do what you feel like lmao. At this point I don't really know if I even really type anything exciting (or it's worthwhile checking for any updates from me either).

That's it from me,

This is Yang the Tech Rodent, and I'll catch you guys... in the next blog post.
