I gotta say its kinda weird when people come up to me and say "Hey, my friend has been using your blog for research material!" Obviously while not in those exact words, its still kinda strange o.o as in... super strange >.> the fact is how did they find my blog when that friend in question wasn't even informed of my blog's url coz i'm a super lazy f**K o.o
Oh well, not that it matters that much, i lost my pride long time ago :X lol
Anyway, some of you might have known that just recently my car went CRASH BOOM! NIGGA PWNT~ o.o yep. Bloody cycle shot infront of me and since i'm the one who so called "hit" him, and he was on a cycle, i get the blame. Bleh. He's lucky enough to get away alive is all i can say. -.- i was following road rules >O
In OTHER news, i'm planning to cut my working period with this company short. Reasons vary from stinginess of the company, to bad management, to unprofessional staff, etc etc. For one, my original wage was supposed to be 800 per month. I didn't mind it that much since i was slacking until of course i got bored even with slacking and trust me its much better coming to work knowing that you have work to do you know? not stay in the office and download anime and watch it and chat on msn wondering if you'll ever get caught.
Not that i like work, but i think it defeats the purpose of even coming to work. I can do those at home. So i had an event recently with the company in which i went out working as a promoter for 10 days. Little did i know that those promoters working for less than 5 hours per day were getting paid a good 70 per day including transport fee, which in 10 days gives them a good 700.
I slave for 31 days to get a measly 800 to which i get so BORED i can't take it and i usually come late to work.... 800? did i say 800? I MEANT 600. Yes thats right, it got cut further coz of so called epf funding which i will NEVER collect. Why? coz i'll never be working in Malaysia in the future and that fund is only collectable once i'm 55. Screw this shit.
So with that, i told them i'm quitting the job middle of this month, the 15th and if they want me they'll have to call me back as a promoter to which i actually enjoy and also get paid more and don't get bloody epf deductions -.-
Oh btw, i got fined 300 for the car accident by the police, and my dad got conned into paying 1200 for car repairs when i could've done it through my connections and paid 200. boo. Didn't help that my pay was getting cut too. So much for working to get that extra buck.
EDIT: Ah yes, to add on, do you know why i don't really like the company? let me explain. I was recently sent to a certain "Functional Foods Asia Conference" in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Not that i was against going to KL that much since i was paid to do it, but more that i was abit undernoticed about this, lets say the same day itself.
Anyway, so i get sent to that event and i help set it up, together with my colleague from the marketing department. On inspection of the booth, it is horrid. So plain so unprofessional, horrible image and we only have one decent banner with our name on it, even then its barely decent, being worn an dirty and old fashioned.
From a 3rd person's perspective? it was horrid. Just plain... CHEAP. Anyway, not my booth, no real cares, as long as we get to explain our "functional foods" right? o.o Wait... functional foods? Drinho? O_O WE HAVE THOSE? Apart from Omega Soya milk(which tastes like water) and the badly advertised SmartBean due to crappy marketing, we have close to nothing more functional.
Ok, don't mind, its still salvageable. Oh here comes someone interested into why we're here. "Where do these soy beans come from? are they GM foods? what form of calcium do you use in the Omega soy milk? Did you know that technically you can't call it soy milk because of *include reasoning here* and that could cause a legal law suite? How much grams of inulin does a serving of SmartBean contain?" Obviously all of us were too uninformed and underprepared for all of this, even our nutritional expert, whom is also part of marketing department. I even had to tell my staff what was GM foods >< zzz
And so the next day there he was, the semi head of the company, Paul Lim, the person who took me in. So i started to question him.
"What is the purpose of coming to this event? as i know, we're not related much to the Functional Foods area of this industry"
"We're trying to change our image (drinho) to a more health conscious sort of image, because with release of NutriTek (however its spelt) soon, it would be a good thing to build customer confidence"
Ok, thats fine. I don't mind that as a reason. Continues.
"I see, well some of us are actually underprepared in this. Just now we were asked what kind of calcium carbonate *see above* etc etc and we couldn't answer the customers. Not only does that depreciate our value in the customers eyes but also it will effect your image as a company whole."
All that followed was silence. Well, it didnt' progress that fast but it DID reach that conclusion. He of course then of course replied that its for product exposure... but come to think of it i think many people in malaysia know about drinho and their drinks, but you see, their public exposure is good but their image is still not up there! because of things similar to these, all these 1/2 assed 1/2 planned anyone can go to represent us kind of attitude is why you will never succeed as a company ><><
Pointed these facts out to my dad and he replied with "and thats why the company will never grow" lol >< seems like someone agrees with my points as well because i mean, image is also important aside from company exposure of your products. I mean, you know the product but doesn't mean you wanna buy it right? Like how i know about the few cheap ass chocolate products from kid age but their image of crapness is still tainted in my mind so why would i buy it? i know its crap but i know the product. Image is equally as important as exposure.
I could go on and on and on about what they're doing wrong including the wrong strategic involvement and wrong target community and age group, untapped potentials for good products, wrong image portrayed for new premium products... no really, i COULD go on.
Let them solve their own problems. At most i'll have a talk with that so called head and lets see what he can answer me.
Hamsteyr ending the blog, extremely bored but not for long... coz of anime.
