Pop Pop.

Time for some blogging. I was actually meant to do some yesterday, abut I kinda got too sleepy from all the stitching and sewing that I just fell asleep straight after. I had a lot on my plate, preparing for CHI 2013. Big Event, with plenty of people. Today was so hectic :|

Man. Bubble Popper though… was a raging success. At first, things were kinda slow, with people being quite… hesitant, but as people joined, and got more interested in it, people started queuing up almost, and asked for explanations for the game, that I had to give plenty and plenty of. It was really back to back and non stop. With adults and kids playing altogether. So successful in fact, that half way through it all, or rather, near the end, The hardware broke! it gave up on me! not just one side of the mittens as well (that’s what we’re using as positional transmitters, they have IR leds attached to them) but both!. I took them, and sort of found a room, hurried into it, and started soldering and sewing. :| the whole cables had ripped off ._.

But yeah. Apart from that… a lot of fun really :3 I’m looking forward to tomorrow, as it’s gonna be another ride altogether. Perhaps a lot less hectic, but meh. I really enjoyed talking to people today :3 Partially also, of course because there were quite a few cute girls interested :P and they were Asian too hahahaha. It was fun semi flirting with them xD teehee : D Hopefully get to meet more girl girls tomorrow. WAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It’s gonna be fun. I get to put some moves on them as well : D

Anyway, I’m actually quite tired, and I need to overview the gloves one more time, to make sure that they don’t really fail on me again ._. That’s it for now I guess. This trip is turning out quite fun :3

Workshop day 1

Back from the CHI Workshops, day one, of the workshops. Not even like the actual exhibit itself. Pretty tired I guess. Was supposed to be a game jam today, that I was meant to participate in, but instead, I spent my time working on the gloves for our demonstration that we will be holding on the weekdays.

They were meant to be done when I was in Malaysia, but frankly, I just didn’t have enough tools and equipment, as well as the right idea on how to solve the issue. The irony of course, is that the day I get the idea on how to fix it, is one of the days where I just don’t have many tools, but plenty of equipment to get it done with. mmmm. In the end though, I got a lot of kick ass ideas and it’s coming along nicely. My speciality is really showing itself here hahaha. INGENUITY XD

On the other more random side of things, I realised that the area that we’re living in in Paris now is actually the red light district of Paris. Yeah. Pigalle is apparently the red light district side of things >_> One the way back, after being told that, I took a good hard look, and I did notice plenty of shop and stalls with the prominent heart sign, glowing LED lights, seedy looking places, large places with a large sign above them that says “SEX”… I think it’s almost entirely obvious then :| lol ._. I’m okay with it, and it really doesn’t other me though lol. I just think it’s interesting. More of like a really first time sort of thing XD Apparently, as well, if we get asked if we want champagne here, we’re better off saying no, because that usually just means if we want a lapdance :| hahah >_<

Anyway, I’m quite tired, and I’ve got a long day ahead of me tomorrow, so I’m off to bed. I’m gonna need the rest, and at least tonight I can sleep in a little bit more :|

Nites :3

Paris is…

Mobile blogging from the bed at my hotel, doing some blogging before I retire for the night. I’m actually pretty damn tired and exhausted now. I ended up touring Paris with Chad and walking over 30km in a day. Effort. My legs can’t even function properly now. My left leg just buckles so easily from the strain now ._. I hope it really does recover tomorrow. We pretty much walked all over Paris, without using a train whatsoever. Its crazy stuff >_>

A lot of people don’t seem to understand or realise the purpose of this trip to France. I’m not here on holiday per se, as much as I am here to attend a research conference, so when people ask me if I’m gonna spend some more time touring and things like that… I tell them that I can’t. I can’t because starting tomorrow, I’m going to be busy with the conference and work >_> it’s not exactly ALL fun and games, so yeah. I’ll be spending a lot of my time attending the conference, rather than sight seeing.

On that note, again, I can’t really tell why people think that Paris is really quite a romantic city. I think a lot of it is really overrated. I’m beginning to think more than romantic places and things are more of what we make of them, rather than visiting places that supposedly hold romantic value to them. The idea that we go to another country, jut to have a more romantic setting, seems really like a more ridiculous one. I believe that Paris in itself doesn’t hold any romantic value, but I guess travelling here with someone special automatically makes the trip special. Perhaps that’s all how it’s supposed to work. Meh. I don’t know. I’m just a bit more… wary of such commercialism and shallowness in all of these things. Of course, if I ever did get a girlfriend again, I won’t deny her the opportunity to coming to these places with me, but just… meh. Now that I understand it, and things become that much more apparent… then… It’s really not the same anymore.

Oh well.

I think it’s really time for me to go to sleep right now. I’m just this close to collapsing and sleeping without finish this post. Nites :\

The Sky

Mobile blogging. Let us do some right now. I'm actually a little bit lazy to take out my laptop to type on, so here I am, writing this out on my Galaxy Note 2. Yep I has one of those. Didn't spend money on it, rather I picked it up after my dad got it as a retirement gift. Good deal.

So then lets talk a little bit about money. As I already mentioned, I'm on the flight now to Paris, typing this out on my phone. I don't even know why I'm really going to Paris frankly. I mean.... to be honest, I only view myself as a small part of this research, yet here I am, going in as a representative of it. For all intents and purposes, the project was started without me. Its not my research project as much as it is something that I joined as a programmer, as well as the hardware builder. :| that's pretty much all I am, humble or not, I don't know how... qualified I am to really be talking about this project.

So let's get down to the main point then. The money. I just forked out 3,000 ringgit of my own cash, just to accomodate myself, and for my expenses in Paris. Ugh. Very painful, needless to say. I don't know. I really hope I'm not here to just... 'Tag along'. If I am, its a rather expensive tag along. Sigh. I don't like spending more than I can earn, and up till now... I've been trying quite hard to save up quite a bit of cash for myself, I mean, if I don't start saving, I'm in trouble. This though... feels like a step back for me, especially when I have to withdraw so much money. ._. It hurts. Doesn't help that I just got myself a new laptop as well. Sigh. Perhaps I should have saw it coming then. Perhaps.

I don't know man. Its turning out to be a really expensive trip, and somewhat of an unwarranted holiday as well. I really hope something good comes out of all of this. If not... I'll probably just view it as money not so well spent, for quite some time. >.>

Lets see how it goes I guess... about 8 more hours flight time. Oh boy. >.>

Hamster off and out. Time now is 4:41am, Malaysia time.

It’s a Sony :\

Doing a little bit of writing form the new laptop, just to get a feel for it and well… to get just that little bit more accustomed to it I guess… The time now is a good 6:30am, and I haven’t really slept yet. Not that I’m not tired, because I really am, but because well… I have been keeping myself preoccupied in such a way that I haven’t really slept up till now.

So I haven’t really written in about the new laptop as well. I kinda caved into it a little. I gave into urges, and I got one while supposedly bringing Chad around to tour Low Yat Plaza. It’s a Sony, and I know I know, I don’t really buy Sony’s as well, so this is really new to me >_> The laptop itself is solid though, and it’s ironically, the cheapest laptop I’ve ever owned, despite being a Sony. I wanted something light that I could use regularly, without having to worry too much about it being heavy, and I think this guy just filled the blanks quite well. I had quite a specific need set, and it filled it up, all for 2,699 ringgit. Not really a low number, but coming from laptops pricing over 4k, close to 5k ringgit? This is one hell of a change for me, and perhaps a good change, a smarter change, that seems to be more value for money, than my previous purchases. After all, I’m a lot more informed than I was a few years ago, back when I got my old Asus. Will be selling off my tablet and old laptop when I’m back from Europe. No point having them around anymore, and that’s just plain truth.

Yes, Tomorrow (Thursday), I’ll be heading off to Europe, finally beginning my trip once again, this time to Paris, France. I feel slightly reluctant to go, but that’s coz I’m a bit of a recluse by now I guess. I like to stay at home and get work done, rather than going out and well… wasting time on commuting and getting used to new places, and things like that. I’m a strange sort of person, and yes, I sort of view those things as… a bit on the inefficient side. I view meeting new people an inefficient act, when I could be doing work and stuff like that. Clearly, I know that I’m missing out on a lot of advantages, but I’m sure my mind will be swayed once I’m there. It’s just the mindset of things I guess.

Back then, I would have only wanted to go to Paris when I found a girl to go with. That was how it was meant to be I guess. It didn’t really work out as you can tell. I don’t really mind though. I think that such an idea seems so… Childish and naive now, and that really, I’ve outgrown this sort of nonsense. A terrible idea of romanticism, that is shallow and vacuous. Meh.

Parents and Chad are pushing me towards Ann in Australia, and she herself, is interested in me in a way, but I don’t know. I don’t really feel like it, at least not for now. I’m really not in the mood for a relationship, and I’m dead serious about it. Even though I may like people now, I really want to maintain and just friends for a while longer, without being in a relationship. As usual though, I do let them know if I like them, and I do my fair share of flirtations, being a flirtatious guy myself, but I really don’t plan to take things any further than that. I like my peace and space at the moment, shared alone and not with anyone else.

Oh well. It’s nearly 7am now. I should really get some sleep, as I’m really struggling to even stay awake now. Just thought I would break in the new laptop, with its new keyboard and stuff, and to get used to plenty of typing on this machine. So far so good I guess. Its quite the solid machine, and I’m happy with it. Also, it’s a lot less… Hot :| lol >_>

Hamster off and out. Still in denial about going to Paris. Also, haven’t got my jacket back yet from my brother. Totally gonna die there =_=

When you love someone.

Now all the chains are broken
Oh with the locks lying on the floor
And I’m a door wide open
Oh how could I ask for more – ya
How could I ask for more – ya

When you love someone
When you love someone
Oh your heart beats young
When you love someone

You know I walk to the ocean
Oh with a dark night-a threatening
I keep my heart wide open
And fearless I walked right in – ya

When you love someone
When you love someone
Oh your heart beats young
When you love someone

Singapore

Doing a little bit of mobile blogging now. I'm at the airport lounge now, waiting to board my flight to Singapore to visit a few friends and... that's pretty much it. After I'm back from Singapore on the 16th, Chad will be around, and then from there, on the 25th, we're heading off to Paris, and so begins round two of the Euro adventure... which to be honest, I'm not particularly ready for.

I mean, it's not that I don't like Europe, I just think that at the sate at which things are at right now, what I really need isn't really a holiday, but more work. I'm actually really craving for work, and trying to get my hands somewhat full with it as well. I think the same could have been said before with my trip to Europe and UK. It was just too long of a holiday, and I think that I have really mentioned this kind of thing before, that I prefer not to have really long holidays, but rather shorter ones, then head back to work. I'd like them more as a breathers from work rather than anything else really.

Perhaps some people were right. Perhaps I'm really much of a workaholic. Hmm. At the moment, I can tell you that girlfriend are much less fun than getting work done. It could of course, be that, or the fact that I have pushed it so far back the recesses of my mind that I can really hardly remember what it's like to have a girlfriend, and the happiness and what not that comes with it. Even so, I think I like it this way.

Oh yes, on that matter. She really wrote me a long ass letter the other day. Caught me by surprise. Some really nice words were said, but it feels like she's almost addressing someone different. Perhaps. IT could be said that I am not the same guy from who I was back then. Restructuring of priority and importance should be enough to change a guy. Somehow I gave off the impression that I was sad or something or rather. I think there's a clear misunderstanding on that level there, so... I will probably reply her to clarify some stuff up, though not that soon, as to be honest, I really couldn't be bothered right now :\

Oh and yes, I know that you read my blog, but I never really cared/ minded about it. I don't have anything to hide anyway. I've always been transparent like that, so it's hardly anything to apologize over anyway.

So yes, back on topic. I'm in Singapore now, chilling in Steven's house. about to head out later for dinner, then maybe drop by a bar or something for some drinks. Steven seems keen on going out and hitting on some girls, and I can't really blame him, he's like what... 30? 31? and still single. XD hahaha me? I couldn't be bothered. Socialise sure, but not looking for anything at all. I really only have one thing on my mind right now, and that's getting a job and moving out, and living alone. I realise how much less tolerant I am now to humans and their stupidity at times. I find myself a lot less patient with people, and get irritated easily when people disturb my peace. I think I'm developing traits of a recluse/ hermit LOL. XD

On the brighter side of things, I have actually gotten a reply about that job, and I'm not one of the handful of people who have made it past the selection. The question now is whether I get the job. :/ To be honest though, I don't know how well I'll do, or whether I have any good chance of getting it. Sure, I made it as one of the finalists (and that's no real small feat), but the kind of articles they get me to write as mock and the contents, aren't really up my alley :| Oh well >_< I just thought it'd be a cool job, since I'm so technology oriented :|

Anyway, I'm actually finishing this blog post from the day before. I fell asleep and just drifted off to the next day >_>

So yeh, I'm off for now. l8ers.

Oh, without you now, this is what it feels like~

Nobody here knocking at my door
The sound of silence I can’t take anymore
Nobody ringing my telephone now
Oh how I miss such a beautiful sound

And I don’t even know how I survive
I won’t make it to the show without your light
No I don’t even know if I’m alive
Oh without you now this is what it feels like

Nothing to hold but the memories and frames
Oh they remind me of the battle I face
Without your love, without you I drown
Somebody save me I’m going down

And I don’t even know how I survive
I won’t make it to the show without your light
No I don’t even know if I’m alive
Oh without you now this is what it feels like

And I don’t even know how I survive
I won’t make it to the show without your light
No I don’t even know if I’m alive
Oh without you now this is what it feels like

Gone

Chad’s sharing with me some lovey dovey stuff again. He’s going on about how he’s waiting for that one girl whom he can do this stuff with, I guess, and he’s all so excited over it. He’s sharing the content with me, but I feel nothing for it. I see things that I would normally call romantic, that would make my heart melt and put a smile on my face, but this time around, not a peep echoes from within my heart.

Silence.

I don’t feel it anymore. I don’t feel it, and I’m not sure how long it’ll last for. I just don’t feel that kind of love anymore. I fall into a pit of disbelief and just close it, for it really doesn’t mean anything to me right now anyway.

I’d very much rather be left alone. For what it’s worth right now, girls, are nothing but trouble in my personal life, shaking up whatever sense of peace I have left.

No.

Let you fall.

There’s no way to break free,
My mind is set in her ways
Couldn’t dare to try me,
Bringing out the hate and envy,
She’s set in her ways

I believed them for a very long time,
I would heed all the words you gave
I would need it, the depths of your mind
To show me the light of way,
I believed them for a very long time,
I would heed all the words you gave,
I would need it
I would need it…

I give it back
The life I owe
Raise a flag and
Let You Fall…

I give it back
The life I owe
Raise a flag and
Let You Fall…

Don’t tell me to try,
I’ve done a lot of that and
I’ll do a little more tonight
Don’t tell me you’re sad,
I’ve given you the chance but
You let the minutes run dry

I give it back
The Life I owe
Raise a flag and
Let you fall…

I give it back
The life I owe
Raise a flag and
Let You Fall…

Ah blog posting.

Haven’t really written in or posted in a while. In all honesty, it’s really because I’ve been quite busy/ preoccupied these days, and well… these days have been more uneventful in the nothing bad happening sense, hence I guess I didn’t really feel the need to write in. I just thought I’d do so now, well.. because I feel kinda like it.

So what’s been happening in my life? Hmm… Nothing much really. Released my second app, people seem to really like it and my efforts that I put in it, so much so that they’re donating to my efforts. Hmm… another thing is that I applied for a job as a tech journalist, one of those things that I feel I could really enjoy doing, since I do it on a constant basis. I post a lot of news up/ read a lot of tech related news, and I’m one of those people who is quite used to typing stretches of text, so I don’t see why not. If I get the job they’ll be paying me per article, but I’d rather not count my chickens before they hatch.

I’ll be heading to France in a few week’s time, to go for my Research Conference in Paris, to demo the project that myself and Chad have worked on. It’s really not much, and I don’t really view the project that highly (kinda why I was shocked when it got accepted, just didn’t feel revolutionary enough for me) so yeah, I’ll be there for about 1 week or so before dropping by Germany for a while before heading back to Malaysia.

Apart from that, the development cycle has been somewhat slow as I find myself using this time back to really sit down and try and complete the things that have been piling up in my list of To Do’s which could only have been completed in Malaysia, and let’s face it, when I was dating previously I didn’t have have the time to do a lot of these things. Freedom however, has granted me this, though dare I say, I lack the time to do all the things that I want to do. That and raw resources (and by that I mean tools and accessibility to them, not so much of money). So yeah. I’m happy where I am at the moment, though I’m trying to knock off these things before trying to take on new projects.

On the relationship front… Single. Single and not really looking either. I don’t know. I feel as if ever since things went sour last time, I haven’t really bounced back. I feel… apprehensive about girls and relationship now, when I never used to do so before. It’s almost like a new kind of phobia developing, where I’m afraid to give myself to someone, when they have that potential to break it so badly. I don’t want to anymore. I don’t feel like it in the meantime at least. All I ever really wanted was to be with someone who could be with me and appreciate me and understand me I guess. I didn’t really get that in the end, and now… I find that it’s not really worth the effort, though I was more motivated when I was in a relationship, the down parts really did drain me heavily. So in that sense it’s better to go normal and run an consistent pace, and in smaller strides, but bigger in progress.

In a way, I don’t regret having had the relationship, but at the very same time, I felt as if although it was something that I had been longing to have for a long time, that it really… wasn’t what I needed, at least not a normal relationship for that matter. Meh. It’s somewhat scarred me a little bit, and given that this wasn’t even the worse that it could have probably gotten, I guess that says a lot.

I don’t know. I think I’ll enjoy being single for now :| I’m still on the look out, but meh, I’m not rushing anything, and I’m taking my time, and even if I do take interest in someone new, I want to be doubly sure.

Because I just can’t deal with the noise anymore, especially since my career depends on it.
