Plastics with(in) us O_o

Wow. And i thought that the amount of syntheticness u can get is silicone breasts xD well, taking out the fact of artificial limbs and not forgetting Michael Jackson's wonderful facial... but Blood? O_o

Scientists create 'plastic' blood

Scientists have developed an artificial plastic blood which could act as a substitute in emergencies.

Researchers at Sheffield University said their creation could be a huge advantage in war zones.

They say that the artificial blood is light to carry, does not need to be kept cool and can be kept for longer.

The new blood is made up of plastic molecules that have an iron atom at their core, like haemoglobin, that can carry oxygen through the body.

The scientists said the artificial blood could be cheap to produce and they were looking for extra funding to develop a final prototype that would be suitable for biological testing.

am i the only one who would have the initial objections of having plastics swimming in my veins? lol wel, obviously if i was already in a dying situation and i needed blood i wouldn't mind but hmm >.> I'm sure there are some associated side effects to this.

Picture post time!

Perhaps i haven't been blogging as often as i should and as a result i let tons of pics just randomly build up lol >.> but meh, i gotta get the count down this time round :P so yeah, here we are~

I went to me friend woolie's house recently, stayed the night :P and he had his Gf over at the time as well, so yeah there you go, some picture spam of woolie and his gf Nicola haha

Now, actually in this pic, he was attempting to boobie snuggle her xD and looking like a drunken fool in the process hohohoho. His words at the time: "I told you i'm very liberal when it comes to sex" xDDD

Oh, his friend came over on the 2nd day as well. :) but u know, i don't know why but at the moment i can't seem to remember names :P (Simon Walsh? O_O was that his name? xO)

Not to mention woolie's girl brought her dogs over and they took quite a liking to me for some reason haha... i don't know why i'm good with animals >.> She even said that its rare that they take such close affection to someone new haha

She was sleeping on the bed i was supposed to sleep in -.- not to mention was lying on me when i was on the bed >.>

Her other dog, and despite the look, she's actually 14 years old if i recall correct and also partially blind >.>

The doggies with her laptop haha

Its a good thing they were well trained as well. I'd be pretty distraught if they pissed all over the bed xD

Yeah, then i also had the chance to meet up with an old friend from Saints recently. Name's Sinclair Mak, commonly known as Mak-Attack, Makintosh, or just Sinny haha

Ok yeah, was just stuffing around with the camera coz i didn't have anything decent to take pictures of as well xD

But yeah, aside from that, we also went out and watched 28 weeks later recently, only to be bombarded with more familiar faces in the process... jeez, my junior back when i was in saints has lost so much weight, a good 40kg and he's looking good now >.> haha... we then went back to sinny's place for some more movies, more specifically SAW 3 on his pc lol x)

Thats his pc desk right there :P same setup as me, using a 5.1 configuration just that his rear speakers were oddly placed under his table haha

-= Random pics segment! =-

Thats my school jumper from Year 12 at St. Peter's College lol... And yeah, they made them personal jumpers lol

I don't know, i felt like taking this scene, its actually from a housing area near my uni... Mawson lakes :P

Me and my friend were staring at this house and marvelling sort of on how nice it was haha >.>

Not to mention how if we grew older we'd try and own a house like that x)

And we move on to random food segment... i can't remember what i used in this one but it was sort of a stir fried garlic & onions & chicken with pasta >.>

And this? well, just when they ran out of Dove hazelnut chocolate in the store, i decided to try the cadbury one >.> and this is what i get. A faulty packaging to add to chocolate that tasted so plastic and just YUCK >.<

And then more pics of random food xD Pies from the bakery :P No, thats not advertising... i swear! O_O

But they WERE good pies >.> Potato and beef pie was the first i think... and the 2nd was beef with sundried tomatoes :O...

And this is the Schnitzel Pack from Red cafe or so i call it... was quite ok ish >.>

This was the Schnitzel pack from blue cafe, cheaper, no veges and more gravy... looks like smaller packaging though... i think :X

And again from the bakery, if i can remember the pie was a Chunky Cheese and Steak pie and that sausage bake thing is a Chilli & Cheese Kransky :P its nice x)

And oh, during that session of no Dove hazelnut choc these helped to satisfy choco urges >.> so yum >.<

Top and bottom essentially the same picture with different lighting haha... Cordon Bleu from red cafe O_o

This used a softer flash if i recall >.>

And onto something rather than food, this O_O. Later became 82 tanks xD 82 Predator tank rush upgraded with rail guns in Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars... against a group of 2 infantries >.> No such thing as overdoing xD

Change of Degree

If some of you have talked to me recently, this is to clarify things. If not, this is to inform you that i'm contemplating of changing my degree to something i enjoy more.

This has nothing to do with my friends first off as none of my friends are doing this course. I've just had an interest in it for a very long time as i started doing it in 1999. Interest i realised in mechatronics was just the end product and i had no real care for what went on in between. Because i realise that, i come to notice that the interest in it was quite premature because i didn't care much for the steps in between. Change does not have to be soon, but i just think its better to consider now than doing another semester of something i don't enjoy and doing badly in it.

The game industry is a booming industry, with big companies such as EA Games and Ubisoft around who hire people from around to work in their different divisions, for example Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Montreal are different divisions. There are also other companies and publishers out there who are coming out to being known for their publishes. The game industry and software in my opinion is something that will never die out as long as there is demand for it, which i think in all respect we all can agree that there's almost unlimited supply of demand for it. as for work day in and out, i can't say that i mind it as currently as well i do that just for the sake of being able to witness my works in visible form. At the moment i'm also giving myself time to reconsider as i might just be acting out of impulse, but one thing is for sure, is that i've lost interest in doing mechatronics even though i'm capable at it. To me that is enough reason to stop what i'm doing before its too late and do something that i love doing. Game Development and software engineering came to mind but then i'd still need time to see my other options that interest me.

The course i'm doing now involves programming in java and Engineering programming which deals with the C language in computers. Game development deals with alot of these and so much more, and so i think that for that i can get some credit transfer. For the others i'll have to see if i can get credited for them as electives or something or rather. I haven't really done research on that end as i said that i'm still considering my other options.

Hope you understand the predicament that i am in as to understand how i feel about this matter.

Gaming in modern culture.

I am fueled. I am enraged. But no, although I may play many of the world's many popular shooting games, i do not have the desire to shoot up someone. What am i referring to? Obviously after reading our wonderful Jack Thompson put blame on video games again, this time relating the Virginia Tech University's deceased Cho Seung-Hui, even when not a trace of video games were found in his room, nor was he ever spotted playing such games. I really don't understand whats going on in his mind.

I'm an avid gamer. I think most of you guys would know that by now. I post pictures of the 3d models of guns that i create in programs to be used in games. I've even fired a gun in real life before. However, i can tell you straight that my interest in guns is not that it kills, its design and mechanics put together. In the eyes of the engineer that i am, its sort of aesthetic pleasure to see how simple mechanics can turn something palm sized into a something that can change our lives so much. Games i do admit, is where my interest stemmed from for this, but i still play games because i know how to put these into a game and watch it work, and the thought of something near endless possibilities is pleasing and exciting.

I'm gonna link articles for you to read up upon, and really get a good look at what this Thompson mabugger says and what it is in reality.

Seriously, have a read at them. I don't take pleasure at people stabbing video games just because they want their scapegoat at life's problems. Its just another form of art.

Btw, from the first link. "7. After Robert Steinhauser's deadly shooting at a school in Erfurt, Germany, police found "52 shooter games, most notably Counterstrike Half-Life which was his game of choice." Steinhauser "dressed up like the hero in that game for his assault." The involvement of video games in that shooting changed the law in Germany." were the words of Jack Thompson.

"While Steinhauser did dress in black "ninja-like" garb, it would be a stretch to say he was "dressed up like the hero" in Counterstrike."

Allow me to visually help u represent this.

Also, there ARE NO HEROES in Counter-Strike. If any good guy and bad guy at all, they'd be the counter-terrorists, and they look WAAAAAAYY FURTHER THAN NINJAS.

He's just a little boy trying to pick a fight with things he doesn't like or don't comprehend. silly man.

Confirmation

Words of the Blogger: The truth is sometimes better off untold

To my blog readers out there. I first pose you this question: Do you read my blogs often enough? Lol, no its not due to narcissism or that i'm an attention whore at times, but rather what i'm about to tell has relations to my previous posts... like really really long ago. I doubt though that even my new readers would venture into reading my older posts as like my blog is roughly 2 years old? or was it older... i remember seeing 2004... does that make it 3 years older then :P anyway, doesn't matter, but down to the main topic of this post. The supernatural. Yes folks after a while its come back to me (not that i really welcome it but oh well.) well, not particularly me as well, but sort of argument to which one could say that i really have the 6th sense and that i attract spirits etc etc. Gift and curse.

To the issue at hand. There are some things i really don't bother blogging about, and most of it is about theory, more specifically theory or guesses or just hunches that i get. For that matter, a few months ago, i failed to blog that i had a talk with my housemate in which we discussed alot of things about spirituality, but being the staunch christian that she is. she pointed mostly that spirits are bad bla bla bla and that if they do no bad then they do no good as well, referencing herself to the bible. Not that i'm against the bible, but i'm against that saying altogether for that i don't believe that if something does no bad its also no good. I believe that theres a neutral stance in all of this.

So anyway, during the conversation with her, which was held in the dining room at a pretty late night, my attention was more drawn to the area to my left, the dark portion of the house known as the living room. I had this sense... feeling, i don't know what you call it, of a little girl there, Caucasian who was looking at us. It also had a sort of sad aura around it, but definitely no hostilities. So anyway, one way or another i managed to tell that to my housemate and she agreed to it as well saying there was something about that room but she didn't know what it was. Hence since it was a mere feeling i didn't bother posting it.

Onto recent dates. Just a few hours ago. The sounds blasting out from my 5.1 speakers muted what i failed to hear as a scream. Thats right, a scream, coming from my housemate's boyfriend. As mentioned, i didn't hear it, but she came into my room and asked me whether i heard Richard (her boyfriend) scream. I obviously said no being oblivious to it, and she said that he did, because as he was about to enter the bathroom, he saw infront of him was a little caucasian girl in a brown dress staring directly into his eyes. He screamed obviously and ran out of there and back into my housemates room. Yes ladies and gentleman, he had just seen a ghost, or as i would more appropriately call it a spirit (mostly coz its less offensive considering ghosts are most commonly associated with something bad). What makes it more nerve wrecking is that its in the very house i live in and its the same one which i felt the presence of.

I have no idea whats this supposed to mean to me. Does that mean that i REALLY have the sixth sense and am capable of feeling spiritual waves and signatures around me? I can only say that if that was true, then i'm both excited and daunted by it at the same time. To know that i really have a special sense is really interesting, yet the probably inevitable truth that i might get more than what i want haunts me. Someone mentioned as well that this kind of things are usually hereditary inherited and i don't disagree with that. At the moment i've calmed down, but this took me longer than usual as it was slightly different to my usual encounters. I have to get some sleep soon and hopefully i don't get any visitors >.<

This gift is my curse for now.
